Electrical Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of electrical systems, equipment, and facilities. The role ensures that electrical equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently while minimizing downtime and supporting continuous operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, machines, equipment, and facility utilities.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults, equipment breakdowns, and control-system issues.
• Inspect electrical panels, breakers, motors, wiring, lighting systems, generators, and other electrical equipment.
• Perform electrical testing and measurements using appropriate test instruments.
• Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, circuits, outlets, switches, lighting, and control components.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Conduct routine inspections and identify potential electrical hazards or equipment failures.
• Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns and emergency maintenance requirements.
• Perform electrical isolation and lockout/tagout procedures before maintenance work.
• Replace defective electrical components such as contactors, relays, fuses, breakers, sensors, switches, and motors.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, preventive maintenance, and equipment breakdowns.
• Assist in equipment installation, modification, relocation, and commissioning.
• Coordinate with mechanical technicians, engineers, production, warehouse, and facilities teams to resolve equipment issues.
• Monitor electrical equipment performance and recommend improvements to reduce downtime and energy consumption.
• Maintain proper inventory of electrical tools, spare parts, and consumables.
• Ensure all work complies with company safety procedures and applicable electrical and occupational safety standards.
• Support facility improvement and electrical installation projects as required.

Qualifications

• Technical/vocational certificate, diploma, or associate/bachelor's degree in Electrical Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, commercial buildings, or industrial facilities.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, motors, control panels, wiring, and basic automation.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of electrical testing tools such as multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers, and related equipment.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.
• Physically capable of working around industrial equipment and performing maintenance activities.
• Willingness to work shifts, overtime, weekends, or respond to emergency breakdowns when required.

Pay: Php18,000.00 - Php25,000.00 per month
