Electrical Mechanic

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across industrial and commercial settings. Your expertise will ensure the safety, efficiency, and reliability of electrical infrastructure, supporting our ongoing operations and projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex electrical systems, including high-voltage wiring and industrial automation, while adhering to strict safety standards and local electrical codes.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) and NEC (National Electrical Code) guidelines.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
• Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely while following all electrical safety procedures.
• Use hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to identify faults and verify system performance.
• Conduct routine maintenance on electrical equipment and systems to prevent failures and extend operational lifespan.
• Collaborate with construction teams during renovation or new build projects to ensure proper electrical installation aligned with blueprints and schematics.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical systems using advanced diagnostics techniques such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs) troubleshooting and electrical schematics reading.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an industrial electrician with a strong background in commercial electrical systems.
• Demonstrated expertise in electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial electrical systems.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70 compliance standards, local electrical codes, and the NEC is essential.
• Hands-on experience with high-voltage wiring, low-voltage systems, and high-voltage safety procedures.
• Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, schematics diagrams, and blueprints confidently.
• Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, screwdrivers, pliers; power tools; voltmeters; ohmmeters; and other diagnostic equipment.
• Construction site experience including renovation projects is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematic reading skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving in fast-paced environments.

Pay: $30.52 - $36.76 per hour
