About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Operator to support day-to-day electrical operations, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance activities at our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor electrical systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure smooth plant operations.
• Carry out routine inspection of electrical panels, motors, pumps, DG sets, transformers, and other electrical equipment.
• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Identify electrical faults and carry out troubleshooting and rectification.
• Monitor electrical parameters and ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment.
• Attend to electrical breakdowns and minimize equipment downtime.
• Perform basic electrical testing using appropriate tools and instruments.
• Maintain electrical maintenance records, checklists, and logbooks.
• Coordinate with the maintenance and production teams for timely resolution of electrical issues.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures and plant safety standards.
• Follow proper LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) and other safety practices while carrying out maintenance activities.
• Support installation, commissioning, and modification of electrical equipment as required.
• Maintain good housekeeping in electrical and maintenance areas.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of industrial electrical systems and maintenance.
• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting electrical equipment and control panels.
• Knowledge of motors, starters, contactors, relays, MCC/PCC panels, sensors, and basic control systems.
• Ability to read and understand electrical wiring diagrams and circuit drawings.
• Knowledge of electrical safety practices.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as coordinate with the maintenance team.
• Willingness to work in shifts, if required.

Eligibility

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• 4–5 years of relevant experience in electrical operations/maintenance in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Candidates with hands-on experience in plant electrical maintenance will be preferred.
