We are looking for an experienced Panel Wireman to join our growing team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the wiring and assembly of electrical control panels and switchboards within our workshop in Quedgeley.

The Role

The role is primarily workshop-based and will involve the manufacture, wiring and assembly of control panels and switchboards.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Wiring and assembling electrical control panels and switchboards.
• Working from and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics.
• Ensuring panels are wired accurately and to a high standard.
• Working alongside the engineering team to ensure projects are completed to specification and within deadlines.
• Attending customer sites occasionally to commission switchboards and modify existing control panels.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.

Experience & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in control panel wiring.
• Experience with switchboard building and assembly.
• The ability to read, understand and work from electrical drawings and schematics.
• Knowledge of BS 7671 – Requirements for Electrical Installations (IET Wiring Regulations).
• NVQ Level 3 in an electrical discipline or equivalent qualification.
• A valid CSCS or ECS card.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• A practical, hands-on approach to electrical engineering.
• Good problem-solving and fault-finding skills.

Previous experience working within an electrical control panel or industrial electrical environment would be highly advantageous.

Working Hours & Overtime

The role offers flexibility with working hours to help accommodate individual requirements and project demands.

Regular overtime is available, providing the opportunity to increase earnings.

Location

The role is primarily based at our workshop in Quedgeley, with occasional travel to customer sites required for commissioning and modification work.

Pay: £15.30-£17.30 per hour
