About The Job Electrical Preconstruction Leader Preconstruction Leader (Electrical Construction) – Dallas, TX Elite Executive Solutions is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Preconstruction Leader to lead preconstruction strategy and execution for a growing electrical construction organization in the Dallas–Fort Worth market.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an accomplished electrical construction professional with deep experience in estimating, preconstruction, design coordination, budgeting, and project planning . The ideal candidate will help position projects for success well before construction begins while supporting continued organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction activities for large-scale electrical construction projects from initial pursuit through project turnover.
• Oversee conceptual estimating, detailed estimates, budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
• Lead estimating and preconstruction teams while establishing consistent processes and best practices.
• Review drawings, specifications, design documents, and project requirements to identify scope, risk, and opportunities.
• Develop conceptual budgets and provide cost guidance throughout design development.
• Lead value engineering and constructability reviews to improve project cost, schedule, and execution.
• Coordinate closely with operations, project management, field leadership, engineering, procurement, and executive leadership.
• Participate in project pursuits, proposal development, interviews, and client presentations.
• Evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing and support strategic procurement decisions.
• Identify project risks, scope gaps, and potential cost impacts before construction.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, owners, developers, engineers, design partners, and key vendors.
• Support the transition of awarded projects from preconstruction and estimating into operations.
• Mentor and develop estimating and preconstruction professionals while helping build a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of electrical construction estimating, preconstruction, or project leadership experience.
• Proven leadership experience within a commercial electrical contractor or electrical construction organization.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, estimating, budgeting, and project delivery.
• Experience leading preconstruction efforts on large and technically complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of conceptual estimating, design-build, design-assist, value engineering, and constructability.
• Ability to evaluate project risk and develop effective preconstruction strategies.
• Strong client-facing, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with data center, mission-critical, advanced technology, or other large-scale electrical projects preferred.
