What you'll be doing; We're on the hunt for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join our London team working on our high‑profile Greenwich Royal Observatory project. At Dalkia Engineering, we pride ourselves on designing, delivering, and commissioning electrical and mechanical installation systems in a variety of industry-leading buildings. Your role as Electrical Project Engineer will support and coordinate technical compliance during design development, procurement, modelling, drawing, installation, testing, and commissioning activities, in line with the agreed project brief, specifications, and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and review electrical design information, raising RFIs and technical queries to ensure compliance
  • Support the delivery of electrical procurement packages, including technical evaluations and tracking of deliveries
  • Review electrical shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements and make recommendations for approval
  • Monitor electrical works against the programme, highlighting delays or constraints
  • Monitor and support onsite electrical installations, checking workmanship and conformity
  • Assist with electrical material take-offs and procurement schedules
  • Support BIM coordination activities and assist with electrical clash resolution
  • Support implementation of health & safety requirements, including RAMS input
  • Maintain accurate electrical QA/QC records, including inspections, test sheets, and NCRs
  • Coordinate and support electrical testing and commissioning activities under senior supervision
  • Provide technical input to support commercial variation assessments

Who we're looking for; Are you a motivated, detail‑focused Electrical engineer with a strong interest in M&E building services, particularly electrical systems within complex buildings? You'll enjoy working as part of a collaborative project team and be keen to develop your technical and project delivery experience across some high profile projects. You'll have an HNC/HND in electrical engineering or building services as well as a valid CSCS card. A degree in electrical or building services engineering is desirable but not essential.

You'll also demonstrate the following;

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues in simple terms, writing clear reports, RFIs, and emails, working collaboratively between Electrical and mechanical teams.
  • Efficient organisation and time management being able to manage multiple tasks, track deadline deadlines, drawings, and procurement activities.
  • Problem-solving ability – analyse problems and propose practical solutions for review.
  • Attention to detail – careful checking of drawings, specifications, installation quality, commissioning, and health & safety procedures.
  • Technical curiosity and continuous learning – interest in new technologies, learning new standards and regulations.
