Electrical Project Engineer

We are hiring Electrical Project Engineers to run day-to-day execution of electrical and ELV works on our building sites, from mobilisation through TAQA supply activation and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute electrical and ELV works: LV cabling, LV panels and distribution boards, containment, wiring, lighting, earthing and ELV systems.
• Prepare three-week look-ahead plans and allocate manpower, materials and equipment with the site supervisors.
• Coordinate daily with the main contractor, consultant, other MEP trades and TAQA inspectors.
• Raise and close inspection requests (WIR/MIR), RFIs and site instructions; resolve technical issues on site.
• Raise material requisitions and track deliveries against the programme.
• Manage subcontractors and labour supply for productivity, quality and measurement.
• Record progress in daily and weekly reports; support monthly payment applications and variation records.
• Organise testing and commissioning, TAQA inspections, supply activation, meter clearance, snag clearance and handover documents.
• Enforce site HSE: method statements, risk assessments, permits to work and toolbox talks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 7+ years in electrical or MEP execution on building projects, including 4+ years on UAE building sites.
• Site experience taking building projects through TAQA Distribution (ADDC/AADC) inspection and supply activation.
• Working knowledge of the Abu Dhabi Electricity Wiring Regulations and TAQA Distribution standards.
• Able to read and check shop drawings, SLDs, cable schedules and specifications.
• AutoCAD and MS Office; able to read Primavera P6 or MS Project programmes.
• Valid UAE driving licence.

Preferred

• ADQCC-approved Electrical Engineer.
• TAQA Distribution HSEQ Competence Register approval as Competent Person (CP).
• Experience managing several buildings or work fronts in parallel.

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
