What they need

Lead Large-Scale Electrical Construction Projects for One of the Nation's Top 50 Electrical Contractors!

Amteck is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead large, complex commercial and industrial electrical construction projects. This role is responsible for the overall direction, execution, financial performance, and successful completion of assigned projects while maintaining strong relationships with customers and project stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years of electrical construction project management experience and a demonstrated track record managing electrical projects valued at $30 million to $50 million or more.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and is comfortable leading project teams, managing financial performance, coordinating schedules, solving complex problems, and delivering high-quality results for customers.

What You’ll Do

As an Electrical Project Manager, you will take ownership of your assigned projects from planning through closeout. Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead large and complex electrical construction projects, managing cost, planning, scheduling, personnel, and financial performance.
  • Manage project activities including takeoffs, budgeting, procurement, pull planning, scheduling, and production tracking.
  • Develop, update, and manage project schedules using construction scheduling software.
  • Coordinate closely with Superintendents, Foremen, field leadership, engineering, estimating, prefabrication, HR/workforce, and other internal teams.
  • Serve as a primary customer liaison, communicating project progress, milestones, constraints, scope changes, and issue resolution.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships while delivering exceptional service.
  • Establish project and change-order budgets and provide financial projections and progress reporting.
  • Review bid documents and provide feedback to estimating and engineering.
  • Identify value-engineering and prefabrication opportunities to improve project cost and labor performance.
  • Review and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and major material purchases.
  • Manage RFIs, PCOs, RFPs, submittals, risks, opportunities, meeting minutes, and other project documentation.
  • Oversee material procurement and coordinate with approved vendors.
  • Maintain project quality standards and ensure work meets applicable codes, performance expectations, and customer requirements.
  • Support project safety efforts and coordinate investigation of reported safety concerns.
  • Manage project closeout, including as-builts, O&M documentation, owner training, warranties, and extra materials.
  • Mentor and develop Assistant Project Managers and provide leadership to project and field teams.

These responsibilities reflect the broad operational, financial, client-facing, and leadership ownership outlined for the position.

What We’re Looking For

Required qualifications:

  • 3–5+ years of Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager experience in commercial and/or industrial electrical construction.
  • Demonstrated experience managing $30M–$50M+ electrical construction projects.
  • Knowledge of electrical project management, NEC, OSHA, and applicable safety codes and practices.
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, procurement, documentation, and financial performance.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership, delegation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer-service and relationship-management skills.
  • Experience with construction scheduling software, including Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
  • Strong general computer and industry-specific software skills.
  • Ability to travel based on project needs.

Preferred:

  • Experience with AccuBid Anywhere estimating software.
  • Experience managing projects remotely.

Why This Role

This position offers the opportunity to take meaningful ownership of major electrical construction projects—not simply administer them. You’ll lead project execution, financial performance, customer relationships, scheduling, field coordination, and team development while collaborating across Amteck’s operations.

If you have successfully managed large-scale commercial or industrial electrical construction projects and are ready to lead complex projects from planning through closeout, we encourage you to apply.

Apply today to join Amteck as an Electrical Project Manager.
