Position 1: Electrical Project Managers (Data Centre Construction) - PMC - JB

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Execution & Engineering Oversight

• System Delivery: Oversee the installation of 132kV/33kV sub-stations, MV/LV switchgear, step-down transformers, UPS systems (2N/N+1), backup diesel generators, busduct tracks, and specialized clean earthing systems.
• Design Review: Evaluate Single-Line Diagrams (SLDs), shop drawings, containment layouts, and engineering calculations to resolve technical clashes before construction begins.
• Cooling Integration: Coordinate power distribution modifications required for high-density IT racks, including transition paths from traditional air cooling to liquid/direct-to-chip cooling architectures.

2. Project Planning & Procurement

• Schedule Management: Develop and manage detailed electrical work packages, tracking milestones via MS Project or Primavera P6 to hit strict Ready-for-Service (RFS) deadlines.
• Long-Lead Tracking: Monitor the manufacturing and delivery of long-lead equipment (e.g., UPS, generators, transformers) to prevent critical path site delays.
• Subcontractor Management: Supervise electrical subcontractors, evaluate progress claims, and manage variation orders (VOs) alongside the commercial team.

3. Regulatory Compliance, Quality & Safety

• Utility Coordination: Liaise directly with Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) and Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) for grid interconnection, testing approvals, and energization clearance.
• Statutory Submissions: Work closely with the appointed ST-certified Competent Electrical Engineer to secure legal sign-offs, including Form G and Form H approvals.
• Site Safety: Enforce strict Lock-Out, Tag-Out (LOTO) systems, High Voltage testing permits, and risk assessment strategies (RAMS) in compliance with CIDB and DOSH guidelines.

Position 2: Substation Electrical Managers (Data Centre Construction) - PMC - JB

Key Responsibilities

A Substation Senior Electrical Manager for data centre construction leads the high-voltage power supply, grid connection, and on-site substation infrastructure. Key duties include managing high-voltage (HV/EHV) design, coordinating utility grid integration, and overseeing site installation and safety compliance.

Core Responsibilities

• Grid Integration: Manage high-voltage and extra-high-voltage (HV/EHV) power connections with local utility providers.
• Design & Engineering: Oversee layout and technical specifications for transformers, switchgears, and protection systems.
• Project Delivery: Monitor project schedules, budgets, and contractor performance from construction to final testing.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all electrical installations meet local grid codes and international mission-critical safety standards.

• Technical Skills: Deep expertise in high-voltage substations, power distribution, and mission-critical backup systems.

Position 3: Electrical Project Managers- Extra Low Voltage (ELV) - Data Centre Construction - PMC - JB

Key Responsibilities

1. Mission-Critical System Delivery & Integration

• Security & Access Control: Oversee the deployment of high-tier physical security infrastructure, including biometric access control systems, physical access control systems (PACS), anti-tailgating mantraps, turnstiles, and perimeter intrusion detection systems (PIDS).
• CCTV & Video Analytics: Manage the installation of comprehensive high-definition IP-CCTV networks with advanced video analytics for data hall monitoring, fence-line surveillance, and absolute tracking of physical asset movements.
• BMS & EPMS Integration: Lead the deployment of the Building Management System (BMS) and Environmental/Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) to track temperature, humidity, leakages, and power metrics across the facility.
• Structured Cabling: Supervise the installation of optical fiber and copper backbone/horizontal cabling systems, including overhead or underfloor cable pathways, splicing, and server room patch frames.

2. Life Safety & Environmental Protection

• Early Warning Fire Detection: Manage the installation of Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus (VESDA / Aspirating Smoke Detection) systems to identify structural hazards before open flames erupt.
• Interlocking Controls: Coordinate complex logical trip matrices between the fire alarm system, gaseous fire suppression systems, mechanical smoke extraction fans, and electrical door release controls.

3. Coordination, Software Calibration & Procurement

• BIM & Cable Route Control: Utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) to map dedicated ELV containment paths, avoiding electrical interference (EMI) from high-voltage busducts and cabling.
• Software Commissioning: Oversee the programming, GUI design, network switch configurations, and software integration of different ELV components into a centralized master control room.
• Vendor & Subcontractor Tracking: Manage specialized specialized vendors and ELV subcontractors, verifying progress claims and strictly vetting variation orders (VOs).
