We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Electrical Purchasing Agent to join our team in the Construction industry. This role is perfect for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical construction purchasing, with a proven track record of managing vendor relationships and efficiently procuring electrical materials, equipment, and supplies. Responsibilities:

1. Procure a wide range of electrical materials, equipment, and supplies necessary for construction projects.

2. Review and work from Bill of Materials (BOMs), material take-offs, and requisitions to accurately determine purchasing needs.

3. Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating prices and terms to ensure cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.

4. Generate and manage purchase orders, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.

5. Utilize advanced Excel and spreadsheet skills to track purchases, monitor inventory, and analyze purchasing trends.

6. Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure all purchasing activities align with project timelines and budgets.

7. Conduct regular reviews of vendor performance, taking action to address any issues or discrepancies.

8. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvement.

9. Ensure compliance with all company policies and legal regulations related to purchasing and procurement.

Qualifications:

1. 5+ years of purchasing experience within the electrical construction industry.

2. Proven experience procuring electrical materials, equipment, and supplies.

3. Ability to read and work from BOMs, material take-offs, and requisitions.

4. Strong vendor relationship management experience, with a proven track record of successful negotiations.

5. Advanced proficiency in Excel and spreadsheet applications.

6. Experience generating and managing purchase orders.

7. Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with an ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

8. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
