Electrical QA Technician / Supervisor (Switchboard) - East

Job Scope:

QA Technician

• In-Process Inspection: Inspect switchboards during assembly to verify component installation, wiring accuracy and compliance with electrical schematics and technical specifications.
• Final Inspection and Testing (FAT): Conduct detailed visual inspections and functional tests, including operational checks of circuit breakers, indicator lights and meters. Perform relevant electrical tests, such as high-potential (Hi-Pot), insulation resistance (Megger), polarisation index (PI), surge or impulse testing (SI), and primary or secondary injection testing, as applicable to the equipment and testing procedures.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare, maintain and update inspection reports, quality records, test documentation and non-conformance reports.
• Quality Issue Resolution: Identify defects, investigate non-conformities and coordinate corrective actions with relevant departments.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with production, engineering and sales teams to resolve quality issues and support project delivery timelines.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure inspection and testing activities follow applicable safety procedures, technical specifications and relevant standards.

Electrical Supervisor (Switchboard Department)

• Perform troubleshooting and fault diagnosis on electrical systems and switchboards.
• Execute and supervise electrical switchboard installation, assembly and related works.
• Ensure all electrical works comply with applicable safety standards, technical specifications and relevant regulations.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and within project timelines.
• Provide technical guidance and practical support to resolve electrical issues.
• Monitor work progress and identify appropriate corrective actions when technical issues arise.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in electrical quality assurance, quality control, inspection or testing, preferably in switchboard manufacturing or a related electrical engineering environment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with electrical testing instruments and procedures relevant to switchboard inspection.
• Understanding of quality documentation, defect reporting and corrective action processes.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
