Electrical Qualifying Supervisor

We are currently working with a well-established and growing electrical contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Qualifying Supervisor (EQS) to join their team. Previous experience is highly desirable.

This is a key position within the business, responsible for overseeing electrical standards, compliance and quality, while providing technical support and guidance to the wider electrical team.

The Role

As Electrical Qualifying Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring all electrical works are completed safely, compliantly and to the highest required standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Acting as the company’s Electrical Qualifying Supervisor (EQS).
• Overseeing electrical installations and ensuring compliance with current regulations and industry standards.
• Carrying out inspections, testing and quality assurance checks.
• Providing technical support and guidance to electricians and site teams.
• Reviewing electrical certification and documentation.
• Ensuring works are completed in accordance with company procedures and legislation.
• Supporting audits and compliance requirements.
• Identifying and resolving technical or compliance issues.
• Liaising with clients, project teams and other stakeholders.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety and workmanship.

About You

The ideal candidate will be an experienced electrical professional with a strong technical background and a thorough understanding of electrical compliance and regulations.

You will ideally have:

• Relevant electrical qualifications, including 18th Edition and 2391 or equivalent.
• Proven experience in a senior electrical or supervisory position.
• Previous experience as an Electrical Qualifying Supervisor (EQS) or in a similar compliance-focused role.
• Strong knowledge of current electrical regulations and industry standards.
• Excellent understanding of inspection, testing and certification.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive approach and excellent attention to detail.
• Full UK driving licence.

Pay: £42,000.00-£50,000.00 per year

Licence/Certification:

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations – BS 7671 (required)
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent) (required)
• City & Guilds 2391 (required)
• ECS Gold Card / JIB recognised qualification (required)
• AM2 (required)
• EQS/Qualified Supervisor approval or experience (preferred)
