Duties

• Prepare detailed electrical cost estimates and budgets based on project specifications and drawings
• Monitor project costs throughout the construction process, ensuring adherence to budgets and identifying potential overruns early
• Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, verify quantities, and ensure work aligns with contractual requirements
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to coordinate procurement and resource planning
• Manage change orders by evaluating scope modifications and their impact on costs and schedules
• Maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions, variations, and contractual correspondence related to electrical works
• Implement effective cost control measures to optimize resource utilization and minimize waste across projects

Experience

• Proven experience as an Electrical Quantity Surveyor or similar role within the construction or engineering industry
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and installation processes in large-scale projects
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, perform cost analysis, and control project expenses effectively
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and safety regulations governing electrical works
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting
