OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Resident Engineer to support the construction supervision, installation, testing, and commissioning of Main Plant electrical systems for a major hydropower project.

The successful candidate will oversee electrical works associated with power generation equipment and ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and construction requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead supervision activities for Main Plant electrical works.
• Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, method statements, inspection and test plans.
• Monitor installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable standards, and quality requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors, equipment suppliers, and project stakeholders.
• Review construction progress and provide technical recommendations.
• Identify and resolve technical issues during construction and commissioning phases.
• Prepare technical reports, inspection records, and progress assessments.
• Support energization and commissioning activities.

REQUIREMENTS

Resident Engineer

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Proven experience in construction supervision, installation, testing, and commissioning of power generation facilities.
• Experience in hydropower, thermal power, combined-cycle power plants, substations, or other large industrial facilities.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems and plant electrical equipment.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
