Electrical Sales Representative / Field Estimator

Sovereign Electric is seeking a motivated Electrical Sales Representative to join our growing team. This role blends technical field understanding with customer-facing sales. You will handle inbound service/troubleshooting calls as well as opportunity-based estimate calls, converting them into approved electrical work.

This is a field-based position requiring strong communication skills, professionalism, and a working understanding of residential electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage jobs scheduled for you
• Perform on-site evaluations and customer walkthroughs
• Create and present job estimates in the field
• Identify upgrade and repair opportunities during service visits
• Convert service calls into approved electrical work
• Maintain accurate notes and job details in scheduling software
• Represent Sovereign Electric professionally in customer homes

Compensation

• Hourly: $35–$50/hr (based on electrical experience)
• Commission: 5% of collected revenue (uncapped, performance-based)
• Commission is subject to company profitability guidelines

Qualifications

• Electrical background required (journeyman, apprentice, or estimator experience)
• Ability to understand basic residential electrical systems
• Strong customer communication and sales ability
• Comfortable working in residential environments
• Organized, reliable, and self-motivated

Preferred Skills

• Field estimating experience
• Troubleshooting electrical systems
• Experience in service-based sales
• Familiarity with construction or trades
