Electrical Section Head

Key responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and develop the electrical engineering team, including planning workloads, conducting performance evaluations and fostering a culture of excellence and safety
• Oversee the design, installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems, equipment and infrastructure across all manufacturing and operational facilities
• Manage preventative and predictive maintenance programmes to minimise downtime and extend equipment lifespan
• Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant Indonesian electrical codes, safety standards and regulatory requirements
• Develop and implement electrical safety protocols, procedures and training programmes for all staff
• Monitor electrical system performance, identify issues and implement corrective actions to optimise efficiency and reduce energy consumption
• Budget planning and cost management for electrical maintenance, repairs and equipment upgrades
• Co-ordinate with other departments and external contractors to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with operational requirements
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of electrical installations to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards
• Manage emergency repairs and troubleshooting to minimise production disruptions
• Report on electrical system performance, maintenance activities and budget utilisation to senior management

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional qualification
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role
• Demonstrated expertise in industrial electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, motors and automation equipment
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards, Indonesian electrical codes and relevant regulatory compliance requirements
• Proven experience in maintenance planning, equipment lifecycle management and predictive maintenance strategies
• Proficiency in electrical design software, CAD tools and diagnostic equipment
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop engineering staff
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills to diagnose complex electrical issues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments
• Project management experience, particularly in managing electrical infrastructure upgrades or installations
• Familiarity with manufacturing or industrial environments is highly desirable
• Proficiency in English and Indonesian language is preferred
