Electrical Service Technician

Ferguson Improvements And Repairs is seeking an experienced Electrical Service Technician to work as a 1099 Independent Contractor. This opportunity is ideal for a dependable, skilled technician who wants flexible scheduling and the opportunity to earn per completed service call.

Responsibilities

• Respond to assigned electrical service calls
• Diagnose electrical issues and determine appropriate repairs
• Perform electrical repairs, replacements, and installations
• Troubleshoot outlets, switches, breakers, lighting, wiring, and other electrical components
• Communicate repair recommendations clearly and professionally to customers
• Complete service calls efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Document completed work and recommended repairs
• Follow applicable electrical codes and safety requirements

Compensation

Paid per completed service call

Requirements

• Previous residential electrical service experience preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Reliable transportation
• Valid driver's license
• Own standard electrical tools and equipment
• Professional appearance and excellent customer-service skills
• Ability to work independently
• Required electrical licensing or credentials where applicable
• Ability to provide proof of required insurance, if applicable

Contractor Status

This is a 1099 independent contractor position, not a W-2 employee position. Contractors are responsible for their own applicable taxes, insurance, licensing, tools, transportation, and business expenses, subject to the independent contractor agreement and applicable law.

Flexible scheduling with service calls available based on customer demand and contractor availability.
