The successful candidate will be electrically qualified to Level 3 in Electrical Installation and hold the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification. They will be confident working independently and as part of a wider maintenance team in a fast-paced, operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems, equipment and site infrastructure.
  • Respond to reactive maintenance requests, electrical faults and equipment breakdowns.
  • Diagnose faults and undertake effective fault-finding to minimise downtime and maintain site operations.
  • Complete electrical repairs, testing and installations within the scope of your qualifications and competence.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with relevant electrical regulations, health and safety legislation and site procedures.
  • Support the safe isolation of equipment and systems, following permit-to-work and lockout/tagout procedures where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, job sheets and reports using the site's maintenance management system.
  • Identify potential improvements to equipment reliability, energy efficiency and maintenance processes.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, contractors and other site teams to ensure effective maintenance delivery.
  • Ensure tools, equipment and working areas are kept safe, clean and compliant with site standards.
  • Report recurring faults, potential hazards and any issues that may affect site operations.

Essential Requirements

  • Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or an equivalent recognised electrical qualification.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification (BS 7671).
  • Experience in electrical maintenance, fault-finding and repair.
  • Experience carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Good understanding of electrical safety, safe isolation and relevant health and safety procedures.
  • Ability to diagnose faults methodically and work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work the continental shift pattern, including days, nights, weekends and public holidays as required.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working in a commercial, industrial or facilities maintenance environment.
  • Familiarity with building services, electrical distribution systems, motors, control panels and associated equipment.
  • Experience using a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Additional electrical testing, inspection or maintenance qualifications.

What's on Offer?

  • Circa £50,000 annual salary.
  • Continental shift pattern: 4 on, 4 off, consisting of 2 day shifts and 2 night shifts.
  • Permanent position on a static site, with no routine travelling between sites.
  • A varied role covering both planned and reactive electrical maintenance.
  • The opportunity to develop your technical skills within an established maintenance environment.
  • The opportunity to contribute directly to site reliability, safety and operational performance
