Electrical Site Inspector

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Site Inspector to join our site supervision team for building construction projects.

The candidate will be responsible for inspecting electrical works at site and ensuring that installation, workmanship, materials and testing comply with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes and consultant requirements.

Key Qualifications & Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

• DAE in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent relevant qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical construction/site supervision, preferably on major building projects.
• Strong practical knowledge of:
• LV power distribution
• Lighting and lighting controls
• Earthing and bonding
• Lightning protection systems
• Cable containment systems
• Power and control cabling
• Distribution boards and switchgear
• Generators and ATS systems
• ELV systems
• Fire alarm systems
• Ability to read and interpret approved shop drawings, single-line diagrams, coordination drawings, specifications and method statements.
• Experience in carrying out site inspections against approved Inspection Requests / WIRs.
• Ability to verify installed materials and equipment against approved material submittals.
• Experience in checking cable trays, conduits, wiring, cable installation, termination, DBs, panels, switchgear and other electrical installations.
• Knowledge of electrical testing including insulation resistance, continuity, earthing resistance and functional testing.
• Ability to identify defective or non-compliant work and prepare inspection comments, punch lists and snag lists.
• Good understanding of MEP coordination with mechanical, architectural, structural and civil works.
• Experience assisting with electrical testing, commissioning and final inspections.
• Ability to maintain inspection records and follow up closure of site observations and non-conformities.
• Good communication skills and ability to coordinate professionally with contractors, subcontractors and consultant engineers.
