Location: Chagrin Falls, OH

Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $75,000 $100,000 per year
Schedule: Monday Friday | Saturdays as needed
Work Environment: Approximately 70% Office / 30% Field

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Project Manager / Superintendent to take ownership of commercial electrical projects from pre-construction through completion.

This is a hands-on leadership position that combines project management with field supervision. You will manage schedules, manpower, materials, project costs, documentation, customers, subcontractors, and other trades while also spending regular time in the field overseeing electrical installation and field personnel.

The ideal candidate understands both sides of electrical construction - how to manage the project from the office and how to lead the work in the field.

You will work closely with customers, general contractors, owners, engineers, electricians, apprentices, subcontractors, and other trades to make sure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities Project Management

  • Manage commercial electrical projects from pre-construction through completion.
  • Review plans, specifications, electrical drawings, and project scopes.
  • Coordinate project schedules, manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor project progress and communicate schedule updates and potential delays.
  • Work directly with general contractors, owners, engineers, customers, and other trades.
  • Attend project meetings and provide project updates.
  • Review and manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and other project documentation.
  • Track project costs and help ensure projects remain within budget.
  • Identify potential project issues and take proactive steps to resolve them.
  • Maintain accurate project records and documentation.

Field Supervision

  • Supervise and coordinate electricians, apprentices, and other field personnel.
  • Plan daily and weekly manpower requirements based on project needs.
  • Ensure electrical work is installed according to plans, specifications, applicable codes, and company standards.
  • Coordinate electrical activities with other trades to prevent conflicts and delays.
  • Perform regular jobsite inspections and monitor quality.
  • Ensure materials and equipment are available when required.
  • Communicate expectations and provide direction to field employees.
  • Assist with troubleshooting electrical and project-related issues.

Safety & Quality

  • Promote and enforce a safe working environment.
  • Ensure employees follow company safety policies and jobsite requirements.
  • Monitor electrical work for quality, code compliance, and proper installation practices.
  • Address safety and quality concerns promptly.
  • Help maintain consistent workmanship and project standards.

Key Qualifications

  • 10+ years of commercial/residential electrical experience, including significant field leadership experience.
  • Previous experience as an Electrical Project Manager, Electrical Superintendent, Electrical Foreman, or similar leadership position.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems and installation methods.
  • Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, specifications, and drawings.
  • Strong understanding of construction scheduling and project coordination.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively with customers, general contractors, employees, subcontractors, and other trades.
  • Proficiency with computers and common construction/project-management software.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent experience.
  • Experience managing commercial electrical projects from start to finish.
  • Experience with project-management software and construction scheduling.
  • OSHA safety training or certification.
  • Experience with:
    • Estimating
    • Change orders
    • RFIs
    • Submittals
    • Project closeout

Work Environment

This position is approximately 70% office and 30% field, providing a balance between project management responsibilities and hands-on jobsite leadership.

You should be comfortable working on active commercial construction sites and interacting directly with field teams, customers, general contractors, and other trades.

The role requires the ability to walk and stand on active jobsites, climb stairs or ladders, navigate construction areas, and occasionally lift or carry materials or equipment. Travel to project locations may be required, and occasional extended hours may be necessary depending on project schedules.

What You'll Get

  • $75,000 $100,000 annual salary
  • 401(k)
  • Health insurance
  • Dental insurance
  • Vision insurance
  • Company vehicle
  • Company card
  • Monday Friday schedule
  • Saturdays as needed
  • Opportunity to lead electrical construction projects from beginning to completion

Who Will Succeed in This Role

We're looking for a hands-on electrical construction leader who can effectively manage both the project and the field.

You'll do well in this position if you:

  • Know electrical construction beyond the paperwork.
  • Can lead electricians and field personnel effectively.
  • Understand commercial electrical installation and NEC requirements.
  • Can read drawings and understand how the work should be executed.
  • Can manage schedules, manpower, materials, costs, and project documentation.
  • Are comfortable communicating with GCs, customers, engineers, and other trades.
  • Take ownership when problems arise rather than waiting for someone else to solve them.
  • Are organized, dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable balancing office and field responsibilities.

The position is specifically intended for someone who can take ownership of an electrical project from beginning to completion while leading the field execution.
