Electrical Superintendent

Commercial Electrical Superintendent — San Antonio, Texas Elite Executive Solutions is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Commercial Electrical Superintendent to oversee field operations for commercial electrical construction projects throughout the San Antonio, Texas region.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on field leader who can direct crews, coordinate installations, and maintain project schedules while upholding safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities Field Leadership & Execution

• Lead day-to-day field operations for commercial electrical construction projects.
• Supervise electricians, apprentices, and foremen, providing clear direction and accountability.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to meet project requirements.
• Partner with Project Managers to track progress, resolve field issues, and maintain project alignment.
• Oversee electrical distribution, power, lighting, lighting controls, and related installations.
• Ensure work complies with the National Electrical Code, project specifications, and applicable local requirements.

Planning & Coordination

• Read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and revisions.
• Develop look-ahead schedules and communicate labor, material, and equipment needs.
• Coordinate installations with general contractors, other trades, engineers, and inspectors.
• Monitor labor productivity and identify issues that could affect schedules or project costs.
• Provide field input for RFIs, change orders, and constructability concerns.
• Maintain accurate daily reports and field documentation.

Safety & Quality

• Enforce company safety policies and jobsite procedures.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and regular field inspections.
• Monitor installation quality and address deficiencies promptly.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, punch-list completion, and project closeout.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of electrical construction experience, including field leadership experience as a foreman or superintendent.
• Proven experience overseeing commercial electrical construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of the NEC and commercial electrical installation practices.
• Ability to lead crews, plan work, and manage competing jobsite priorities.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications.
• Experience coordinating with general contractors, other trades, and inspectors.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to jobsite safety, quality workmanship, and timely project delivery.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
