- Fit-out & Assembly: Interpret electrical schematics, build instructions and wiring diagrams to oversee cable routing, termination, conduit installation, and component mounting.
- Testing & Fault Finding: Conduct continuity, insulation, and function checks; assist commissioning teams with electrical troubleshooting.
- Quality & Documentation: Ensure precise execution of allocated work, sign-offs, timesheets, and associated compliance records.
- Safety & Standards: Maintain strict adherence to WHS, isolation/tagging procedures, permit systems, risk assessments, and tool maintenance.
- Continuous Improvement: Support 5S, Lean manufacturing, workflow standardisation, and process repeatability.
What We Are Looking For
- Trade or Degree Qualification: Recognized Electrical Trade License or degree Qualification in electrical engineering.
- Industrial Experience: Demonstrated background in industrial machinery wiring, heavy machinery fit-out, or complex manufacturing assembly.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead small, high-performing shop-floor teams and mentor apprentices.
- Technical Aptitude: Proficiency in reading complex schematics, using electrical testing/hydraulic test gear, PLC and control panel knowledge and fault diagnosis.
- Safety First Mindset: Strong knowledge of WHS standards, PPE compliance, and safe work procedures.
Why Apply?
- Secure, full-time position with an established heavy engineering OEM.
- Modern, clean, and well-equipped assembly facility.
- Opportunity to work on high-value, sophisticated machinery.
- Great culture focused on safety, training, and continuous improvement.
