Electrical Supervisor

We’re hiring for an Electrical Supervisor to lead a team of skilled electricians. Day-to-day will involve the overseeing of commercial and domestic electrical installations, maintenance, repairs, and project management. This role will suit an experienced Electrician who has a background in leadership, or is ready to take the next step in their career.

The Role:

You’ll be leading the charge on electrical projects across beautiful Wānaka, ensuring everything from design and installation to testing, maintenance, and repairs is completed to the highest standards. You’ll work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality electrical solutions for commercial and domestic projects.
As an Electrical Supervisor, you’ll:

• Manage multiple job sites and oversee a team of electricians, providing guidance, motivation, and leadership
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and sub-contractors to keep everything running smoothly
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, including the Construction Contracts Act 2002 and electrical safety standards
• Train and develop apprentices and junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
• Prepare reports, process variations, and manage documentation to keep projects on track

We are looking for someone who: 

• Has minimum 5 years’ experience as a fully registered electrician
• Holds a valid practicing license, registered with EWRB
• Has their full driver’s license
• Is proactive and organized with a keen eye for detail, and who has excellent communication skills
• Has strong leadership skills, able to motivate and manage a team effectively
• Demonstrates commitment to health & safety
