Electrical Supervisor

A. Project Design & Execution Support

• Assist in the project from concept stage, design development, contract documentation, authority submissions and site administration throughout the entire project execution phase until completion.

• Provide support on site installation, testing and commissioning, or servicing jobs related to the electrical and control package.

• Work closely and collaborate with the process and engineering departments for design and engineering requirements as and when required.

B. Electrical & Control System Design

• Design electrical distribution, control panel, lighting, grounding and lightning protection systems.

• Produce control logic philosophy, single line diagrams, load calculation analysis, short circuit studies, cable schedules, cable tray selection, cable routing, control loop drawings, instrument hook-up diagrams, interlocks and flow diagrams, and I/O lists.

• Perform instrument selection, sizing, interface and indexing.

• Apply basic knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical for drawing preparation.

• Apply basic knowledge of PLC, DCS and SCADA; ability in automation system selection, network architecture and HMI screen development is a value add.

C. Material Planning & Procurement Coordination

• Order the necessary materials required as per Material Take-Off (MTO) and coordinate with the purchasing department for timely delivery.

• Read and understand electrical and instrumentation specifications; prepare job lists, work schedules, MTO planning, and manpower planning for yard men and contractors for each job related to electrical, wiring and control packages.

D. Vendor & Technology Evaluation

• Evaluate new electrical systems, products, components, and applications introduced by vendors, and make recommendations where necessary.

• Support the supply chain department in evaluating alternatives or replacement parts for end-of-life (EOL) components.

E. Troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis & Continuous Improvement

• Prepare full root cause analysis reports following troubleshooting undertaken on the line for losses.

• Provide detailed performance analysis to identify structural problems, analyze them, and arrange for rectification.

• Implement autonomous maintenance for equipment.

• Carry out Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) activities and optimize product design to achieve cost competitiveness.

• Evaluate and improve current test coverage, cycle time, and operational efficiencies.

• Support the quality department in troubleshooting quality incidents, and provide technical solutions for manufacturing or customer issues.

F. Safety & Compliance

• Work closely with Management to ensure compliance with ISO and OSHA requirements.

• Observe and actively enforce safe working practices in line with company safety policies.

G. Leadership & Team Contribution

• Complete projects by training and guiding technicians.

• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

• Act as a leader in managing all technical-related matters.

• Undertake, coordinate and execute any other assigned task or project from time to time.
