Electrical Supervisor

Job Summary

The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating electrical installation works at construction sites to ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, project schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements. The role oversees site personnel, monitors work progress, and ensures the proper installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily electrical installation activities to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and project requirements.
• Review electrical drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, and installation procedures before implementation.
• Monitor the installation of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, wiring, and other electrical works.
• Coordinate electrical activities with civil, architectural, mechanical, plumbing, and other project teams.
• Supervise electricians, electrical workers, and subcontractors to ensure efficient and timely execution of work.
• Monitor manpower, materials, tools, and equipment requirements to support project activities.
• Conduct site inspections to verify workmanship, installation accuracy, and compliance with quality standards.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems with the project team and relevant stakeholders.
• Identify technical issues, installation conflicts, and potential delays, and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, project specifications, and occupational health and safety requirements.
• Monitor project progress and prepare daily accomplishment reports and other required documentation.
• Coordinate with project engineers, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors to resolve technical and operational concerns.
• Ensure that completed electrical works are properly inspected, documented, and ready for client acceptance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
• Licensed Electrical Engineer is an advantage.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in electrical installation and construction site supervision.
• Experience in building or industrial construction projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, grounding, and electrical installation practices.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, technical specifications, and shop drawings.
• Familiarity with applicable electrical codes, testing procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Strong leadership, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and construction progress reporting.
• Willing to be assigned to project sites.
