Hybrid Working (2-3 Days Onsite)
Are you an Electrical Systems Engineer, Integration Engineer, Electrical Architect or Systems Engineer looking to work on one of the UK's most exciting next-generation defence programmes?
We are seeking a Weapon System Electrical Integration Architect to play a pivotal role in the integration of complex electrical equipment into a highly advanced weapon system. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the forefront of cutting-edge technology, bringing together electrical architecture, system integration, supplier management and technical leadership to deliver a critical defence capability.
The Role
As the technical authority for electrical interfaces across the programme, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful integration of electrical equipment, subsystems and suppliers into the wider weapon system architecture.
This is not a detailed circuit design role. Instead, you will own the bigger picture, translating system requirements into clear electrical expectations, driving supplier delivery, managing technical risks and ensuring the overall system performs as intended.
Working across multiple engineering disciplines, you will influence technical direction and play a key role from requirements definition through to system acceptance.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure electrical compatibility and integrity across complex subsystems and architectures
Support integration, verification, validation and acceptance activities
Define and manage electrical requirements throughout the project lifecycle
Lead supplier technical reviews and milestone meetings
Manage Statements of Work and oversee supplier performance against cost, quality and schedule objectives
Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout development
Support key engineering decisions regarding equipment reuse, modification and new design
Ensure compliance with relevant electrical standards, regulations and certification requirements
What We're Looking For
- Experience within systems engineering, electrical integration, electrical architecture or equipment engineering
- Strong understanding of complex system integration and requirements management
- Background in defence, aerospace, marine, rail, automotive or other highly regulated industries
- Experience working with external suppliers and technical delivery packages
- Understanding of verification, validation and certification processes
- Knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, interfaces or equipment integration
- Strong stakeholder engagement and technical communication skills
