Electrical Team Leader

* Lead, prepare, develop, review, and oversee electrical shop drawings using Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM tools, ensuring compliance with project requirements, specifications, approved designs, and construction standards.
* Develop, manage, review, and coordinate electrical BIM models up to LOD PHONE_NUMBER, ensuring accuracy and suitability for construction, installation, coordination, and as-built requirements.
* Lead and supervise the Electrical Engineering / BIM team, including task allocation, technical guidance, quality control, performance monitoring, and timely delivery.
* Review tender, IFC, construction, coordination, and shop drawings for electrical systems to ensure technical accuracy, constructability, and compliance with project requirements.
* Lead electrical coordination with Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Architectural, Structural, and site teams, identifying clashes and ensuring timely resolution.
* Ensure electrical drawings, BIM models, calculations, and technical deliverables comply with project specifications, applicable codes, BIM standards, authority requirements, and client/consultant requirements.
* Review and coordinate electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, earthing, lightning protection, fire alarm, and ELV/low-current systems.
* Review electrical calculations, including load calculations, cable sizing, voltage drop, short-circuit calculations, and protection coordination, as required by the project scope.
* Review and coordinate single-line diagrams, panel schedules, equipment layouts, cable trays, containment routes, electrical rooms, shafts, risers, and builders work requirements.
* Provide technical support to site teams through technical clarifications, installation details, RFIs, design modifications, and updated drawings/models.
* Coordinate with consultants regarding electrical shop drawings, BIM submissions, material submittals, technical comments, approvals, and revisions.
* Maintain accurate electrical documentation, drawing registers, BIM model revisions, coordination records, and as-built updates throughout the project lifecycle.
* Monitor electrical BIM model quality and compliance with the project s BIM Execution Plan (BEP), modeling standards, naming conventions, and coordination procedures.
* Support quantity take-offs, material coordination, procurement, value engineering, and construction planning using electrical BIM models and technical documentation.
* Participate in technical meetings, BIM coordination workshops, and progress meetings with internal teams, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
* Identify electrical technical risks, coordination issues, and potential delays, and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
* Support project management in monitoring electrical engineering progress, resource requirements, priorities, and deliverables across multiple projects.

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements
* Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering.
* Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience, preferably within contracting, construction, or MEP contracting companies.
* Strong experience in electrical technical office operations, BIM coordination, and engineering team leadership.
* Proven ability to lead and supervise electrical engineers and electrical BIM modelers, ensuring technical quality and timely delivery.
* Extensive hands-on experience in electrical shop drawings, construction drawings, technical coordination, and BIM modeling.
* Proven experience developing and managing electrical BIM models at LOD PHONE_NUMBER.
* Advanced proficiency in Revit MEP for electrical systems is required.
* Strong proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
* Experience with BIM coordination and clash detection tools such as Navisworks is highly preferred.
* Strong technical knowledge of power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, earthing, lightning protection, fire alarm, and ELV/low-current systems.
* Strong experience in electrical calculations, single-line diagrams, panel schedules, cable sizing, voltage drop, and protection coordination.
* Strong understanding of electrical installation methods, equipment coordination, cable routing, containment systems, builders work, and constructability.
* Proven experience coordinating electrical models and drawings with Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Architectural, and Structural disciplines.
* Strong knowledge of BIM workflows, clash detection, model federation, multidisciplinary coordination, and BIM Execution Plans (BEP).
* Good understanding of applicable local and international electrical codes, standards, authority regulations, and project specifications.
* Strong leadership, team management, coordination, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, work effectively under pressure, resolve technical issues, and ensure the team meets quality standards and project deadlines.
