Electrical Technical Design Leader

We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Technical Design Leader to work directly alongside our General Service Manager, build and lead a large local electrical engineering team, and drive detailed electrical design, technical compliance, and power system analysis.

⚡ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Team Buildup & Design Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and lead an Egypt-based electrical design team; establish engineering design standards, technical SOPs, and QA/QC workflows.
• Detailed Electrical Design: Lead and review electrical design packages, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), schematics, cable/transformer sizing, switchgear specifications, and LV/MV retrofitting.
• System Studies & ETAP Calculations: Perform and supervise core power system studies using ETAP (load flow, short-circuit, motor starting, relay coordination, and arc flash analysis).

Technical & Site Support: Resolve complex engineering queries with clients/consultants in KSA, ensuring compliance with SEC, Saudi Aramco, IEEE, and IEC standards while supporting site testing & commissioning (T&C).

Desired Candidate Profile

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Power & Machines department preferred).
• Experience: 8–12+ years in detailed electrical engineering design and technical leadership (Engineering Consultancies, EPC Contractors, or Utilities).
• Software Skills: Solid hands-on experience in ETAP for electrical calculations, combined with AutoCAD and standard electrical design software.
• Technical Expertise: Deep technical knowledge in LV, MV, and HV systems (up to 110kV GIS, power transformers, switchgears, protection relays, ATS, and panel retrofits).

Leadership & Soft Skills: Proven ability to build and guide engineering teams from scratch; fluent in English & Arabic.
