Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Technician to carry out electrical operation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities for equipment and systems within a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP). The candidate should have practical experience with electrical panels, motors, pumps, control systems, and plant electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems and equipment within the sewage treatment plant.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults in pumps, motors, blowers, mixers, compressors, and other STP equipment.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair MCC panels, control panels, distribution boards, and electrical circuits.
• Perform routine checks of electrical motors, cables, breakers, contactors, relays, and protection devices.
• Carry out motor installation, termination, testing, and replacement.
• Troubleshoot motor starters, DOL starters, star-delta starters, and VFD-operated equipment.
• Inspect and maintain electrical systems associated with sewage and sludge pumps.
• Support maintenance of aeration blowers, dosing systems, mixers, screens, and other treatment plant equipment.
• Perform cable laying, glanding, termination, and electrical connection works.
• Carry out insulation resistance, continuity, voltage, current, and other basic electrical testing.
• Assist in troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment, sensors, level switches, and instrumentation interfaces.
• Monitor equipment condition and immediately report abnormal current, overheating, vibration, tripping, or electrical faults.
• Maintain emergency lighting, lighting systems, sockets, and general electrical installations within the plant.
• Respond to electrical breakdowns and restore equipment operation as quickly as possible.
• Maintain preventive maintenance checklists and daily maintenance records.
• Coordinate with operators, mechanical technicians, supervisors, and engineers during maintenance activities.
• Maintain electrical tools and testing equipment in proper condition.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), work permit, and electrical safety procedures.
• Maintain proper housekeeping after completion of maintenance activities.

Qualification & Requirements

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Trade
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant electrical maintenance experience preferred.
• Previous experience in a Sewage Treatment Plant, Wastewater Treatment Plant, Water Treatment Plant, or similar industrial facility strongly preferred.
• Good knowledge of electrical motors, pumps, MCCs, control panels, and distribution systems.
• Working knowledge of VFDs, starters, contactors, relays, and electrical protection systems.
• Basic knowledge of PLC and instrumentation systems will be an advantage.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and control schematics.
• Ability to use multimeters, insulation testers, clamp meters, and other electrical testing instruments.
• Good troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Knowledge of electrical safety and LOTO procedures.
• Saudi Arabia/GCC experience will be an advantage.

Pay: ﷼3,500.00 - ﷼4,000.00 per month
