Electrical Technician

We are looking for competent Electrical Technicians to install, maintain and repair LV electrical systems, distribution boards, panels, lighting and power circuits in commercial and industrial facilities in Qatar, ensuring safe, code-compliant and uninterrupted electrical supply.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, test and maintain LV distribution boards, MCCs, panels, cable trays, trunking and conduits
• Carry out cable pulling, termination, glanding and DB dressing to drawings and specifications
• Perform preventive maintenance and fault finding on lighting, power, earthing, UPS and standby systems
• Maintain electrical motors, starters, contactors, VFDs and associated control circuits for mechanical plant (pumps, fans, HVAC)
• Conduct electrical testing (insulation resistance, continuity, earth loop, load readings) and record results
• Support shutdowns, isolation and re-energisation under permit-to-work and LOTO procedures
• Respond to breakdown calls and restore supply with minimum downtime
• Maintain accurate records, job cards and PPM documentation

Qualifications and Experience

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or recognised electrician trade certificate
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in building services or industrial electrical maintenance; GCC experience preferred
• Ability to read single-line diagrams, electrical layouts and control schematics
• Working knowledge of Kahramaa regulations, QCS and IEC/BS standards
• Kahramaa electrical wireman/technician licence or ability to obtain one is an advantage
• Willingness to work in shifts, on-call rotation and outdoor conditions where required
• Good command of English (spoken and written); Arabic or Hindi/Urdu is an advantage
• Strong commitment to health, safety and environment (HSE) practices
• Available for immediate joining – preference will be given to candidates currently in Qatar with a transferable visa / NOC
