Electrical Technician

About the role

Provides on-the-floor response of operational issues, working with maintenance and production for immediate responses to deviations on the Electrical discipline. Supports root cause investigation for timely repair and performs corrective and preventive actions to mitigate risk. May be in charge of lubrication management system for all equipment inside production. Supports improvement projects aimed at right first-time performance to improve yield, reduce cost, or optimize processing cycle times. Provides assistance in the operation and maintenance of the Common Utilities Building, including steam, compressed air, ammonia and nitrogen gas.

Key responsibilities

• Provides on-the-floor response of operational issues; working with maintenance and production for immediate responses to deviations on the Electrical discipline
• Supports root cause investigation for timely repair and performs corrective and preventive actions to further mitigate risk
• May be in charge of lubrication management system of all equipment inside production
• Supports improvement projects aimed at right first-time performance to improve yield, reduce cost, or optimize processing cycle times
• Updates records that will directly affect productivity including proper SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
• Follows safety, environmental and audit compliance objectives
• Supports engineers and other groups (Maintenance, Automation, Technology, Quality, and Planning)
• Provides assistance in the operation and maintenance of the Common Utilities Building for DLPF, including steam, compressed air, ammonia and nitrogen gas
• Strict adherence to maintenance schedule with operations and ensures timely activities are followed
• Proper use of inventory parts to provide uninterrupted service to D&L manufacturing operations

About you

• At least Vocational graduate (Electrical, Electronics or Instrumentation) or with relevant equivalent experience
• At least one year from food or industrial setting
• Technical knowledge (Electrical or Electro-Mechanics)
• Equipment knowledge particular on industry machine and equipment
• Skills in troubleshooting and repair
• Reporting and documentation know-how
• Time management skills
• Ability to work well with others in a collaborative manner
• Displays high level of integrity and collaboration
• Willing to render OT if necessary
