Job Description: Technician / Maintainer – Electrical

1. Job Responsibilities

• Perform traction maintenance activities at 132 kV switchyards and 33 kV auxiliary substations.
• Assist in the operation, inspection, and maintenance of 132 kV receiving substations.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment as per prescribed safety standards.
• Support maintenance activities involving high-voltage (HV) cables and electrical systems.
• Follow all electrical safety procedures, operational guidelines, and instructions provided by the supervisor.
• Maintain maintenance records and report any electrical faults or abnormalities to the concerned authority.

2. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

• Must have passed SSC / Class 10.
• Must possess an ITI certificate in Electrician or Wireman trade from a government-recognized institute.

Work Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in any of the following:
• Maintenance of 11 kV or above AC switchyards.
• Maintenance or operation of 11 kV or above substations.
• High-voltage (HV) cabling work involving 11 kV or above systems.
• Apprenticeship experience in electrical systems operating at 11 kV or above.
• Weekly Off: 4 days, as per the applicable duty roster and company policy.
• Salary will be calculated based on actual attendance and the number of days worked, subject to applicable company policies.

4. Selection Process

• Interview: Candidates will undergo an initial interview.
• Selection: Candidates who successfully clear the interview will proceed to the next stage.
• Training: Selected candidates will undergo 7 days of training provided by GMRCL before joining.
• Document Submission: Candidates must submit the required medical fitness certificate and police verification certificate before joining.

5. Required Documents

• Updated resume / CV.
• SSC / Class 10 marksheet and certificate.
• ITI certificate in Electrician / Wireman trade.
• Experience certificate or relevant apprenticeship proof.
• Government-issued identity proof.
• Medical fitness certificate.
• Police verification certificate.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
