Electrical Technician

About the role

This role involves maintaining and installing electrical systems within a manufacturing plant facility. You will follow electrical wiring plans to prepare, assemble, and place conduits in designated areas, install electrical apparatus and safety components, and ensure all systems operate safely within standard boundaries and compliance with national electrical codes.

Key responsibilities

• Follow electrical wiring plans and prepare, assemble, and place conduits inside designated partitions, walls, or concealed areas to ensure full functionality of plant lighting, intercom, and related electrical systems
• Install electrical apparatus, fixtures, safety components (switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels), and equipment for alarms and power systems, and connect wirings in electrical circuits and networks
• Perform daily routine checklist inspections, cleaning of circuits, and timely replacement of old wiring, insulated cables, and degrading fixtures to prevent system breakdowns
• Perform troubleshooting using specialized electrical test instruments to identify hazards, electrical defects, or component malfunctions, and repair, substitute, or adjust damaged units promptly
• Inspect systems, ground leads, and power cable connections to motors regularly to verify compliance with national electrical codes, environmental parameters, and factory safety guidelines
• Maintain well-functioning electrical connections throughout all facility assets to minimize accident probability and maximize electricity utility
• Safely operate from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs, and perform physically demanding tasks such as moving heavy objects or digging trenches to lay underground conduit
• Prepare, update, and maintain all required compliance logs, equipment performance records, and testing data
• Prepare and submit comprehensive daily accomplishment reports on or before the conclusion of every working shift
• Serve as operational backup to production personnel and assist in production plant operations when necessary to maintain continuous output

About you

• Wear proper PPE when conducting equipment checking, monitoring, repairing, and preventive maintenance, especially when working from heights, handling live circuits, or managing power distribution units
• Comply fully with all company policies, including strict adherence to the company code of conduct, employee discipline, and safety guidelines
• Complete all duties according to applicable safety measures and published procedures
• Immediately document and report any accidents, near-misses, or hazardous incidents within the factory or work premises
• Transition agilely to a flexible shifting schedule to support production demands whenever communicated and instructed by the immediate superior
• Educate production staff on standard preventive maintenance methods and systematically monitor compliance
