Electrical Technician

Innovative Scientific Solutions, Inc. is looking for a self-motivated, detailed, and organized individual to join the experimental research group. This individual would work with minimal supervision in a team environment, learn new skills, adapt to changing needs, and communicate effectively (verbal and written).

Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of electrical systems, electrical wiring, and troubleshooting/repair of research support systems; electrical aptitude, and some experience in PLC programming; ability to understand engineering drawings and specifications; ability to create and modify schematics in AutoCAD is desirable. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).

Education & Background: Experience as an electrical technician in a research/testing facility strongly desired, but entry level acceptable. Associates degree in a related technical field and experience with instrumentation/electronics preferred.

Primary Responsibilities: Operate and maintain laboratory support systems and equipment. Install, instrument, maintain, and troubleshoot research instrumentation such as accelerometers, proximity probes, pressure transducers, and thermocouples. Install, wire, and troubleshoot PLC systems. Work well with a variety of individuals (Researchers, Engineers, Designers, and Vendors). Occasional heavy lifting and late/extended work hours required.
