Electrical Technician

Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and installations. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems. Troubleshoot electrical faults and identify the root cause of problems. Conduct regular inspections and site rounds to identify electrical issues and potential hazards. Maintain and troubleshoot electrical panels, distribution boards, breakers, switches, sockets, lighting systems, and control systems. Perform electrical testing using appropriate testing and measuring equipment. Carry out installation and maintenance of lighting, power distribution, and electrical circuits. Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documents. Assist with the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems. Respond to electrical breakdowns and maintenance requests in a timely manner. Check generators, UPS systems, batteries, and other electrical equipment as required. Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and other maintenance teams when necessary. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and spare parts. Ensure all work is performed according to safety procedures and applicable electrical standards. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition. Perform any other electrical-related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Desired Candidate Profile

Technical diploma or vocational qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field. Minimum 3 5 years of relevant experience as an Electrical Technician. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, circuits, panels, and electrical equipment. Experience in preventive and corrective electrical maintenance. Ability to troubleshoot electrical faults independently. Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics. Knowledge of electrical safety procedures and standards. Good problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team. Willingness to work on different project sites and respond to emergency breakdowns when required.
