Role Overview

The Electrical Technician supports the installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems on CTS-DT's data center construction projects in Jeddah. Working under the guidance of the Site Electrical Supervisor, the role carries out cable installation, termination, panel wiring, and functional testing to ensure electrical works meet approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test LV cabling, containment, and electrical panels in line with approved drawings and schedules.
• Carry out continuity, insulation resistance, and earth loop testing on installed circuits.
• Support the installation and testing of switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, and distribution boards.
• Assist with energized testing and commissioning activities under the supervision of senior engineers.
• Read and interpret single-line diagrams, wiring schematics, and cable schedules.
• Identify and report defects, non-conformances, and safety hazards to the site supervisor.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and test results.
• Follow site HSE procedures and permit-to-work requirements at all times.
• Support snagging, punch-list closure, and handover documentation.
• Coordinate with mechanical, ELV, and civil trades on site to resolve interface issues.

Required Skills and Experience

• ITI/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent trade qualification.
• 3-6 years of experience as an electrical technician on construction, industrial, or data center projects.
• Working knowledge of LV distribution, cable installation, and testing practices.
• Familiarity with IEC or equivalent international electrical standards.
• Practical experience with hand and power tools and test equipment (multimeters, insulation testers).
• Functional English for reading drawings, following instructions, and reporting.
• Willingness to work on-site in Jeddah under standard construction site conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive, safety-first mindset.
• A valid passport is mandatory.
