Electrical Technician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Technician to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, testing, and troubleshooting electrical systems at construction sites, ensuring that all electrical works are carried out according to approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, lighting systems, power distribution systems, and electrical equipment at construction sites.

Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.

Perform electrical installations for residential, commercial, and other construction projects.

Install and connect electrical panels, circuit breakers, switches, sockets, lighting fixtures, and cable trays.

Pull, route, terminate, and test electrical cables and wiring.

Assist in the installation and testing of generators, grounding systems, and other electrical equipment.

Diagnose electrical faults and perform troubleshooting and corrective maintenance.

Conduct electrical testing and inspections to ensure proper system operation and compliance with project requirements.

Coordinate with electrical engineers, site engineers, and other trades to ensure the timely execution of electrical works.

Report work progress, technical issues, and material requirements to the direct supervisor.

Ensure that electrical installations comply with approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable safety standards.

Follow site safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in good working condition.

Assist in identifying material shortages and minimizing material waste on site.

Desired Candidate Profile

Technical diploma in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Electricity, or equivalent technical qualification.

Minimum 3 years of experience as an Electrical Technician, preferably with a construction company.

Hands-on experience in electrical installations for residential or commercial buildings.

Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.

Knowledge of electrical panels, cable routing, lighting systems, power distribution, and grounding.

Familiarity with electrical testing tools and troubleshooting techniques.

Good understanding of electrical safety procedures and construction site practices.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.

Willingness to work on construction sites and meet project deadlines.
