Position: Electrical Technician (Contract)

Location: Lakchai Muang Yang Industrial Estate, Rayong

About the role

This role involves performing preventive maintenance activities and supervising maintenance and repair work on electrical systems, HV transmission lines, substations, transformers, power and control cables, MV switchgears, LV MCCs, motors, generators, distribution panels, lighting, grounding systems, lightning protection systems, and related electrical equipment. You will complete documentation of maintenance activities, manage inventory and spare parts, conduct safety toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with safety protocols and the Permit to Work System.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance activities and fill in checklists for record keeping as per the provided schedule
• Supervise and perform small projects and maintenance activities including electrical system erection, electrical cabling and wiring, electrical equipment monitoring, electrical component upgrade and replacement, and electrical testing
• Supervise and perform repairing activities for HV transmission lines, substations, transformers, power and control cables, MV switchgears, LV MCCs, motors, generators, distribution panels, lighting, grounding systems, lightning protection systems, switches, plugs, and appliances
• Complete all documentation of maintenance activities including maintaining history logs, checklists, and schedules
• Manage inventory of spare parts, highlight stock availability, and maintain spares in the designated workshop area
• Perform 5S in each work area and maintain cleanliness and tidiness of work areas
• Conduct safety and toolbox talks for subordinates weekly
• Attend daily maintenance meetings punctually
• Ensure attendance at safety meetings punctually
• Standby during night, weekend, and public holidays as required

About you

• High Vocational Certificate or higher in electrical engineering (power)
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in petrochemical, chemical, or power plant industry
• Certified Electrician LV 1 or higher; LV 2 is an advantage
• Practical skills in electrical works
• Ability to read and write documents in English
• Basic knowledge of petrochemical, chemical, or power plant equipment and plant
• Basic knowledge of motor, MCC, transformer, and wiring diagrams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
• Strong electrical safety awareness attitude
• Understanding of Permit to Work System and suitability for training on it
