Electrical Technician – Control Panel & Custom Machine Assembly

Job Overview:

We are hiring an Electrical Technician to join our fabrication and assembly team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in control panel building, machine wiring, and electrical troubleshooting. You’ll work hands-on with a variety of electrical components and systems in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble and wire control panels from electrical schematics and layout drawings
• Wire custom machinery per project specifications and NEC codes
• Perform I/O checks, continuity tests, and assist in system debugging
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and bills of materials
• Document work and communicate discrepancies or changes to engineering
• Support occasional onsite installations and commissioning
• Follow all safety procedures and ensure compliance with UL 508A, NFPA 79, and NEC standards

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Electrical Technology or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in control panel or industrial electrical work
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
• Familiarity with VFDs, PLCs, relays, terminal blocks, and sensors
• Skilled in use of hand and power tools for wiring and assembly
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with UL 508A panel building
• Familiarity with automation systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
• Field service or machine start-up experience

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work in standing or bending positions for extended periods
• Use ladders and hand tools in a manufacturing environment

Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
