Electrical Technician - (With Lighting Experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Install, connect, test, and commission indoor and outdoor lighting fixtures.
• Handle landscape, façade, pathway, garden, wall, bollard, inground, underwater, and architectural lighting.
• Carry out electrical wiring, cable termination, junction box connections, and lighting control connections.
• Install and connect lighting drivers, transformers, power supplies, timers, sensors, and control systems.
• Read and understand lighting layouts, electrical drawings, shop drawings, and wiring diagrams.
• Perform troubleshooting and rectification of lighting and electrical issues.
• Conduct testing of lighting circuits, cables, connections, and fixtures before handover.
• Ensure proper installation of IP-rated outdoor lighting equipment and appropriate cable protection.
• Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, contractors, and other technicians during installation works.
• Support site inspections and ensure lighting installations are completed according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of lighting systems.
• Identify faulty fixtures, drivers, cables, connections, and other electrical components and arrange necessary replacement or repair.
• Follow electrical safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe working area.
• Prepare basic site reports and inform the supervisor about installation progress, issues, and material requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of electrical technician experience, preferably in the UAE.
• Practical experience with lighting installation and maintenance.
• Strong experience with outdoor, landscape, and architectural lighting is preferred.
• Good knowledge of electrical wiring, cable termination, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read basic electrical and lighting drawings.
• Knowledge of LED lighting, drivers, transformers, sensors, and lighting controls.
• Experience with IP65/IP66/IP67/IP68 outdoor lighting applications will be an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a site team.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Knowledge of UAE electrical safety practices is preferred.

Note: A valid UAE driving license is mandatory for this position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
