We are now seeking qualified and experienced Electricians from the Philippines to join our Mt Gambier, South Australia team.

The Role

The Electrical Trade Assistant will provide support to Electricians and the wider electrical team in the installation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems for industrial and commercial projects within our Mt Gambier operations.

This role is ideal for candidates currently based in the Philippines who have experience assisting with electrical works and are willing to relocate to Australia to work on-site.

As part of a diverse electrical team, you will gain hands-on experience across a range of areas, including industrial automation, maintenance, robotics, electrical installations, cabling, and control systems, while working alongside experienced tradespeople and contributing to high-quality project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
• Support cable pulling, cable tray installation, conduit installation, and cable termination works.
• Assist in the assembly, wiring, and installation of electrical panels and control systems.
• Read and interpret basic electrical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
• Carry out routine inspections and assist in identifying electrical faults and issues.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and electrical equipment required for project works.
• Assist with testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting electrical installations.
• Ensure work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures and comply with company policies and Australian safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with Electricians, Supervisors, and Project Teams to complete projects on time and to a high standard.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and handling materials and equipment as required.

Qualifications

• Electrical-related vocational qualification, certificate, or trade training
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience assisting Electricians in industrial, commercial, manufacturing, or construction environments
• Basic understanding of electrical systems, tools, materials, and safe work practices
• Ability to read and interpret basic electrical drawings and schematics
• Experience with cable pulling, conduit installation, cable tray installation, and general electrical support work
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude
• Willingness to relocate to Mt Gambier, South Australia

Preferred (but not essential):

• Experience in industrial electrical environments
• Experience assisting with control panel or switchboard assembly
• Electrical NC II or equivalent qualification
• Elevated Work Platform (EWP), Working at Heights, or Confined Space certification
• First Aid / CPR certification
• Experience working with automation, manufacturing, or control systems
