ELECTRICAL WIREMAN (PW4)

Location: Teck Guan Cocoa Village, Quoin Hill, Tawau, Sabah

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated, safety-conscious Electrical Wireman (PW4) to join our operations at Teck Guan Cocoa Village. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and installing electrical systems across our agro-tourism resort facilities, commercial visitor areas, and estate processing premises.

Job Responsibilities:-

• Carry out three-phase and single-phase electrical installations, conduit routing, and wiring upgrades for resort chalets, visitor centers, outdoor lighting, and site utilities.
• Conduct routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance on Distribution Boards (DB), Main Switchboards (MSB), sub-circuits, switches, power outlets, and lighting fixtures.
• Inspect and troubleshoot electrical controls for water pumps, commercial kitchen equipment, processing machinery, and standby generator sets (gensets).
• Maintain outdoor IP-rated fittings, underground cabling, earthing systems, and surge protection networks across the property premises.
• Ensure all electrical works fully comply with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) safety standards, Electricity Regulations, and internal occupational safety policies.
• Maintain updated logs of maintenance activities, testing reports, circuit schedules, and electrical spare part inventory.
• Attend promptly to electrical faults, power disruptions, and breakdowns to ensure uninterrupted resort and site operations.
• Perform other electrical and facility-related maintenance duties as assigned by the management or supervisor.

Job Requirements:-

• Must possess a valid Wireman Competency Certificate (PW4 ).

• Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience in three-phase electrical installation, maintenance, and fault troubleshooting. Experience in hospitality, resort maintenance, or plantation/estate facilities is an added advantage.

• Good knowledge of single-line diagrams (SLD), industrial control panels, testing instruments (multimeter, megger, earthing tester), and standard wiring practices.

• Possess a valid driving licence (Class D / GDL) and own transport due to the site location at Quoin Hill.

• High sense of responsibility, safety-conscious, reliable, and capable of working independently in an outdoor and resort environment.

• Willingness to work overtime or respond to emergency repair calls outside standard working hours when required.
