Electrical Workshop Manager

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the repair, overhaul and rewinding of AC/DC motors, generators, alternators and associated rotating equipment.
• Lead and support a team of winders, fitters, technicians and apprentices.
• Manage fault-finding, diagnostics, electrical testing and quality control.
• Coordinate job scheduling, workflow and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with workshop safety standards and procedures.
• Support client relationships, quotations, inventory management and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

• 5–10 years of experience in an electrical workshop or rotating machinery environment.
• Strong hands-on expertise in armature winding, motor rewinding and generator repairs.
• A Diploma, Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant electrical trade qualification.
• Previous experience supervising or leading a technical workshop team.
• Strong problem-solving, organisational and communication skills.
