Pay Rate: $25.00 – $29.00 per hr / Salary Target: $52,000 – $60,320 Depending on Experience

Job Description:

Our client, an engineering and manufacturing company supporting defense and high-reliability programs, is looking for a seasoned assembler to handle cable and harness builds and chassis-level integration. You'll support both prototype and production builds, working from drawings, schematics, and work instructions with minimal oversight. Because this role builds to Class 3 standards, attention to detail is critical, and experienced assemblers will also help inspect work and train others on the team.

Responsibilities

• Build and integrate chassis and electromechanical assemblies, including crimping, stripping, splicing, staking, routing, marking, and labeling
• Client out and build wire harnesses on harness boards, cutting, routing, and lacing or tie-wrapping wires per diagrams and wire lists
• Terminate wires to connectors, plugs, and terminal strips using crimp tooling
• Apply sleeving, tubing, potting, or sealant to protect terminations from moisture and debris
• Perform continuity testing on completed cables and harnesses
• Inspect assemblies, including peers' work, to IPC Class 3 criteria
• Interpret work orders, assembly drawings, drawing notes, and rework instructions, and keep build documentation accurate
• Provide on-the-job training and guidance to other assemblers
• Support kitting, cycle counts, and shipping/receiving as needed

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on electromechanical, cable, or wire harness assembly experience
• High school diploma or GED
• Proven ability to build from schematics, engineering drawings, and process documentation
• Strong crimping, termination, and harness-building skills
• Ability to pass IPC-A-610 Class 3 certification training
• Must be eligible to work on ITAR / export-controlled hardware (U.S. Person) and able to obtain a U.S. security clearance if required
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs

Preferred / Desired Experience

• Current IPC-A-610 Class 3 certification (CIS or CIT)
• IPC/WHMA-A-620 (cable and harness) certification
• Prior work in defense, aerospace, or other high-reliability manufacturing
• Experience with prototype builds alongside engineering teams
