Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various sites. The ideal applicant will possess practical experience with hand tools and power tools, along with comprehensive electrical knowledge. The position will require the applicant at to travel throughout the home counties for which company transport will be provided

Duties

• Install, test, and commission electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in new and existing structures
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems
• Troubleshoot electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques
• Repair or replace faulty wiring, switches, circuit breakers, and other electrical components
• Ensure all work complies with current electrical codes and safety regulations
• Document work performed accurately and maintain detailed records of inspections and repairs
• Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers to ensure timely project completion
• Assist in planning electrical layouts for new installations or renovations

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Electrician or similar role with a solid understanding of electrical systems
• Proficiency in using hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, and multimeters
• Experience working with power tools including drills, saws, and cable cutters
• Comprehensive knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and best practices
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in Electrical Installation or Maintenance (e.g., City & Guilds) preferred but not essential
• Valid UK driving licence is advantageous but not mandatory
