About the role

AALBORG PortLand Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to join our engineering team. This is a full-time position based in Ipoh, Perak. As an Electrician, you will play a vital role in maintaining, installing, and repairing electrical systems and equipment that support our operations. This position is fundamental to ensuring the safe and efficient functioning of our facilities and contributes directly to the reliability and productivity of our business.

What you'll be doing

1. To carry out duty on shift basis according to shift roster and assignments.
2. To monitor, inspect & maintain all electrical, instrumentation & control equipments.
3. To carry out PM for all electrical, instrumentation & control equipments.
4. To carry out PM as assigned by his superior and management.
5. To trobleshoot any breakdown of electrical, instrumentation & control equipments.
6. To assist other department’s personnel to settle problems on site.
7. To record monthly meter reading for all dept & section.
8. To report to superior of any breakdown of equipment and machinery.
9. To ensure proper housekeeping are carried out daily for the department.
10. To attend training, seminar and course as assigned by superior.
11. To guide and explaine to subordinate when problem arises at plant even when he is off duty.
12. To promote safe awareness among department and create a safe working environment.
13. To work as a team in achieving departments goals.
14. Report to superior when require more technical support or decision making on critical issue.

Job Requirement:

1. Minimum Certificate or Diploma in Electrical
2. Possess a valid PW4 or AO Chargeman Certificate.
3. At least 3 years of working experience in heavy industry environment.
4. Experience in cement manufacturing industry will be an added advantage.
5. Knowledge in electrical, instrumentation and control system maintenance and troubleshooting.
6. Able to perform preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance independently.
7. Able to read and understand electrical drawings and control diagrams.
8. Willing to work on shift pattern and overtime when required.
9. Good teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills.
10. Strong safety awareness and compliance with plant safety procedures.
11. Physically fit and able to work in plant environment.
