Every time an Adelaide resident turns on a tap, someone like you makes it possible.
SUEZ is a global leader in water and environmental management — 160 years of expertise, 45,000 people across 40 countries — and we're looking for a skilled Electrical Technician to join our team right here in South Australia.
In partnership with SA Water, you'll be part of the Production & Treatment Alliance — a high-performing team keeping metropolitan Adelaide's water and wastewater infrastructure running reliably, every single day. This is not just a job. It's essential work for one of Australia's most liveable cities.
Based at Christies Beach , with operations spanning the Glenelg, and Aldinga waste water treatment plants.
What You'll Be Doing
This is a genuinely hands-on role — out in the field, solving real problems, and keeping critical infrastructure performing at its best. Day to day, you'll be:
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across treatment plants, pump stations, and distribution assets
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical control systems
- Troubleshooting and maintaining PLC systems
- Executing maintenance schedules to maximise uptime and reliability
- Responding to breakdowns swiftly and implementing lasting fixes
- Ensuring work meets Australian Standards and company policies
- Keeping accurate, same-day maintenance records
- Collaborating with internal teams and subcontractors
- Championing safe work practices and a culture of continuous improvement
What You'll Bring
You're an experienced electrical professional who takes pride in your craft. You'll hit the ground running with:
- A current Class Electrical Licence
- Strong hands-on experience with electrical control systems
- PLC programming and troubleshooting capability
- Sharp communication and organisational skills
- Confidence working independently and as part of a close-knit team
- A safety-first mindset and high attention to detail
- A current, unrestricted driver's licence
- HV Switching experience — highly regarded
What's in It for You
We believe the people who keep South Australia's water flowing deserve to be well looked after:
- Tool-of-trade vehicle provided
- Competitive hourly rate and conditions
- Monthly Paid Day Off plus two annual Wellbeing Days
- Generous on-call allowance (1-in-4 rotation)
- Long-term career with a global industry leader
- Ongoing training with clear pathways into HV switching, PLC, and instrumentation
- A strong, safety-driven team culture where your expertise is genuinely valued
Ready to Do Work That Matters?
South Australia's water future needs people like you. If you're ready to bring your skills to infrastructure that impacts millions of lives — and build a career that goes the distance — we want to hear from you.
