Electrician

Job Summary

The Experienced Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide variety of electrical systems, machinery, and equipment in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), Philippine Electrical Code (PEC), and strict safety regulations. Holding an active TESDA NC II Certification, this professional possesses advanced technical literacy to interpret complex blueprints, execute heavy industrial component repairs, and implement proactive preventive maintenance to minimize operational downtime and eliminate workplace hazards.

Duties and Responsibilities Installation & System Fabrication

• Conduit and Raceway Assembly: Lay out, fabricate, and install electrical raceways, including cable ducts, cable trays, and specialized containment units; bend and install conduits and execute precise wire-pulling procedures.
• Grounding and Safety Infrastructures: Fabricate and install comprehensive building earthing, grounding systems, and lightning protection networks using exothermic welding, ground rods, and bus bars to secure personnel and equipment.
• Low and High-Voltage Setups: Install light fixtures, power outlets, control panels, distribution boards, transformers, and industrial motor units according to engineering drawings.

Diagnostics, Troubleshooting & Repair

• Advanced Fault Diagnosis: Read and interpret complex electrical schematics, blueprints, and single-line diagrams to quickly isolate and diagnose circuit faults, failing sensors, or broken relays.
• Heavy-Duty Equipment Repair: Repair, overhaul, or safely replace broken circuit breakers, heavy-duty industrial components, power distribution units, and building security systems.
• Specialized System Checks: Test, inspect, and repair automated low-voltage infrastructure, including fire alarm and security systems, ensuring permanent functionality.

Preventive Maintenance & Safety Operations

• Routine Preventive Checks: Run routine diagnostic tests and preventive maintenance cycles on active plant machinery, motors, and centralized control panels to catch vulnerabilities early and prevent sudden operational breakdowns.
• Working at Heights Safely: Set up and operate from ladders, scaffolding, and mechanical aerial lifts safely, adhering to all Fall Protection and working-at-heights procedures.
• Toolbox Leadership: Facilitate daily morning toolbox meetings to brief the team on project tasks, assign duties, analyze operational hazards, and enforce strict Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) safety compliance.

Coordination & Compliance Documentation

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate closely with Project Engineers, site supervisors, and external third-party contractors prior to the commencement of works to align workflows and resources.
• Pre- & Post-Shift Inspections: Perform rigorous daily site inspections before and after work hours to verify quality control, task progress, and safe site cleanups.
• Technical System Logging: Meticulously record daily maintenance logs, safety checklist metrics, and diagnostic tracking outcomes to maintain clear operational transparency and ensure the facility is always audit-ready.

Job Qualifications & Requirements

• Certification: Must hold a valid TESDA National Certificate II (NC II) in Electrical Installation and Maintenance.
• Experience: Proven experience as an Electrician (typically 3–5+ years) in commercial, industrial, or residential settings.
• Technical Skills: High proficiency in operating electrical test tools (e.g., multimeters, insulation testers, clamp meters, circuit analyzers) and heavy equipment hand tools.
• Physical Demands: Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy equipment, bend or stand for long periods, and climb scaffolding/lifts without restriction.
• Core Skills: Exceptional troubleshooting ability, sharp attention to detail, strict focus on safety protocols, and clear communication skills.
