Electrician

We are a growing third generation Electrical company looking to bring on an experienced, trustworthy, and reliable technician. Must be able to do panel work, service calls, and generator installs. Must know NEC code and have own tools and a valid drivers license.

Electrician duties and responsibilities

Electricians use a variety of industry-specific tools to perform their tasks, including ammeters, voltmeters, thermal scanners and cable testers. They must:

• Understand and apply blueprints and technical diagrams
• Inspect electrical components including transformers and circuit breakers
• Use testing devices to identify and report electrical problems
• Use hand and power tools
• Adhere to state and local building regulations
• Complete work orders on time
• Create records of materials used

What does an Electrician do?

An Electrician’s primary responsibilities are to install, maintain and repair electrical power, communications, lighting and control systems. Their training and work experience allows them to professionally analyze and detect electrical problems in residential homes and businesses. An Electrician assesses the work needed and gives quotes to customers. They usually work with a team of technicians and engineers, and should know how to work with indoor and outdoor electrical components. Many electricians travel to different regions to troubleshoot and repair electrical problems for customers.
