JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Electrician to handle residential house wiring, distribution panel installation, electrical maintenance, and solar PV installation. The ideal candidate will install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and panels, and install and maintain rooftop solar systems, ensuring all work meets local electrical and safety codes. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team on residential and small commercial sites.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install, inspect, and maintain residential electrical wiring systems, including new construction and rewiring projects.
• Install and wire distribution panels, sub-panels, and circuit breakers in compliance with electrical codes.
• Diagnose and repair faults in wiring, panels, switches, outlets, and fixtures to minimize downtime.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical panels and circuits.
• Install and commission rooftop solar PV systems, including panel mounting, inverter wiring, and grid or battery connections.
• Test and maintain solar inverters, battery storage systems, and charge controllers.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics.
• Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, solar codes, and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with site supervisors, contractors, and clients to plan and schedule work.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and materials used.
• Respond promptly to emergency repair calls and service requests.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience as an Electrician, with a focus on house wiring and panel wiring/maintenance.
• Hands-on experience installing and maintaining solar PV systems (panels, inverters, battery storage).
• Strong knowledge of local electrical codes (e.g., NEC or equivalent) and solar installation standards.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical schematics.
• Skilled in fault-finding, troubleshooting, and load calculation.
• Working knowledge of earthing/grounding, conduit installation, and cable tray systems.
• Physically able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and lift/carry equipment as needed.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.

CERTIFICATIONS & EDUCATION

• [Licensed / Journeyman Electrician Certificate] required.
• [Solar PV Installer Certification] — preferred / required.
• [OSHA 10/30 Electrical Safety Certification] — preferred.
• [Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Technology] or equivalent trade qualification.
• Valid driver's license [and reliable transportation], where applicable.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Primarily on-site work at residential and small commercial properties.
• May involve working outdoors, on rooftops, in attics, or in confined spaces.
• May require occasional evening, weekend, or on-call work for emergency repairs.
